Public Fruit Orchards & Edible Streets for Louisville

At the Ali Center’s Compassionate City workshop on March 20, 2013, several folks gathered who were interested in how a Compassionate City feeds people. Among many ideas, public orchards emerged as an action item.  Interested individuals will be meeting this Wednesday, May 8th, 2013, 6pm-8pm at the home of Andrew Kang Bartlett, 203 Cornell Pl. 40206.

The agenda for the potlucklooks like this:

  1. Review & background
  2. Food-related announcements, esp. from Power Members for Food
  3. Round robin- Introductions & sharing ideas/ resources (hear about Edible Streets, Berea)
  4. Conversation to settle on some next steps – what themes emerge?
  5. Form teams to tackle tasks
  6. Set next meeting(s)

Interested individuals will be meeting this Wednesday, May 8th, 2013, 6pm-8pm at the home of Andrew Kang Bartlett, 203 Cornell Pl. 40206.
