Americana Community Center strives to provide a spectrum of services to the diverse individuals and families of the Louisville Metro area, including refugees, immigrants, and those born in the U.S. These services enable people to realize their individual potential, build strong families, and create a healthy & supportive community for all.

The great cultural, ethnic and economic diversity of our community, especially the neighborhoods surrounding Americana, provide a wealth of challenges and opportunities. Americana was founded to address these issues and currently serves individuals from 33 zip codes across Louisville and from 81 countries around the world.

Our services, programs, and referrals are designed to respond to the specific and changing needs of those we serve.

Americana Community Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The Community Garden program at Americana Community Center, 4801 Southside Dr., is now in its 5th year of operation. It is the most diverse community garden in Louisville (KY) Metro, with growers from over ten different countries. As we say, “It’s the whole world in 1/5th of an acre.
Many of our growers come from places where subsistence gardening is a way of life. Green space & gardening had to be sacrificed when they left home, especially when relocating to urban areas, but now Americana can offer them the option of gardening on our grounds. The community garden is an important asset to our community as a neighborhood gathering place, a resource for families to obtaining healthy food, and an outdoor education facility for our youth.
